About the TWINs

Yes, they are really twins.

T.W.I.N. creates the world we wish existed.

Our goal is to bring our community’s values to as many people as possible: everyone should wear what they want, regardless of their identity, size, or ability.

T.W.I.N. is an acronym for “That’s What I Need.” It’s a declaration and our promise: At T.W.I.N., we make exactly what you need. This means consciously-produced clothes created with deadstock material that are size-inclusive, gender-inclusive, ability-inclusive, and financially inclusive (all the -usives!).

And yes– our founders are actually twins.

T.W.I.N. (That’s What I Need) is a twin-owned, Toronto-born, New York-based company focused on making good products, honestly.

Co-founders and fraternal twins, Alicia & Isabella Serrani, lovingly self-described as the “worst twins ever” created TWIN to merge their polar opposite but inseparable styles. Growing up and even now the twins have always shared their closets despite having different body types and sizes. The transformation of the clothes through personal style is at the core of TWIN and the “that’s what I need” ethos at the heart of TWIN.

No matter your feelings about your body or your relationship with fashion, you can feel secure that you will find what you need. We welcome feedback on our products and hope you, our customers, help us grow by providing feedback on which sizes + styles you need and want to see in the future.

We’re transparent about our design process so our customers know we’ve carefully selected sustainable fabrics, constructed garments that fit and feel good, and that the price reflects a fair value.

All that’s left is the choice of how you want to wear your pieces.
